Pretty stoked about my JBS sheave that got here and I got one question.  Do I reinstall that cam plate cover back or do I leave it off?

I will be greasing all the slider and cam plate but was curious about that little cover that goes over the cam plate.

Thanks

if you use grease you have to run the cover...thats what we prefer....

Hefty, glad to see that ya went ahead and got one, I think you'll be happy with it.
If you have any problem with the install I'm sure someone here can help ya out.

Well I had to leave for work and got back yesterday.  I went to install it tonight and when I cracked her open there was tons of dust and some little belt pieces.  I guess that is why she only tops out at 37.  Well I also found out there is no cam plate cover on it as the previous owner might have deleted it.  The belt was a tad bit stiff so glad I am replacing it with an OEM as it had a Dayco.  It has a stock spring but there was no grease anywhere and are the stock weights round?

With the sliders do I reinstall the metal clip?

Also do the sliders on the cam plate, do the big sides face up or face down into the sheave?

I have been on hold since I did not have a cam plate cover.  So I ordered one and the oring and I still have not received it.  Glad I got a new belt as mine had seen better days and the dust inside was crazy.  I also had some round rollers in there and no grease so I guess someone else was inside there before me.  I am dying to slap this junk back together.

No clips and the big side faces in...you should be hitting around 60mph depending on tires.
